Enlarged labia minora, the inner lips of the female genitals, can be made smaller by surgery. Large labia minora can be problem by getting in the way of clothing, interfering with athletics, or just being more prominent than is aesthetically desirable.

The labia minora can be reduced in a surgical procedure under anesthesia as an outpatient (going home after surgery). The degree of reduction will be decided in advance of the surgery by a consultation between the patient and Dr. Gallico.
